Freezing temperatures led to the Hudson River icing over. It is even thicker now and an ice breaker was sent to clear a path. Marc and I photographed it on January 28.

I had some doors form 2024 that I hadn’t published yet for Thursday Doors (see The Scottish Room – No Facilities).
Almost every street in upper Manhattan has lovely old buildings with magnificent doors.






Balloon Plants are related to milkweed. There are some in the Shakespeare Garden in Central Park.



Every Fall I look forward to making portraits and landscapes of autumn leaves.

I found three species of sumac. Apparently, one can eat horse mushrooms. They are huge – about 8 inches wide.




The Gansevoort Beach is a great place to find a variety of insects. Mother duck only had one ducking left.
