Prospect Park with LSNY

We went on a Photography and birding trip. Tom led the group from the Linnaean Society of NY on April the 4th. About the trip: Better Bird Photography Workshop in Prospect Park – The Linnaean Society of New York. Here are a few of the birds that we saw.

    I’ve never seen a swan do anything but float around on the water’s surface. The feeding behavior you show here was quite a surprise; it reminded me of ducks like mallards and pintails.

      They do look funny with their butts in the air. They fish for greenery at the bottom.
