Central Park BnH 2

During the event I managed to photograph these. Everyone got to photograph two young racoons looking for edibles at the lake edge.

NYBG Lilies

The Waterlilies and Lotuses | New York Botanical Garden are magnificent in early September.

Greenbrook Plants

I’m trying to identify grasses. I can usually ID the main families.

Greenbrook Moss and Lichen

From the little nature sanctuary on the Palisades by the Hudson River in in New Jersey. It felt cool amongst all the greens.

NYBG Mix

After the rose brunch at the New York Botanical Garden, we went to the greenhouse. The current theme at the garden is a 1960s-inspired Flower Power.

Bayard Cutting Plants

Created from a trip that I led for Sierra Club Photo NYC – New York City Sierra Club Photography Committee. There will be four more posts on the Bayard Cutting Arboretum.

Right of Way

Cuts made for powerlines are often good places to find butterflies and plants. This one is near Call Hollow Road and Harriman State Park. It has a lot of laurel bushes. Unfortunately, these areas are often used for illegal dumping.

Isle of Skye Scenes more

A few more from the Isle of Skye in Scotland. I now have lots of new sky pictures to use if I need to swap a sky in an image. The last three by Marc were taken by the bridge.
