The first birds that I saw at Mt Loretto in Staten Island were two kingfishers whizzing by. I missed photographing them. Unfortunately, the camera didn’t focus on the Phoebe. The palm warbler was on paved path. So I created a nicer background for it.

In September we went to Mount Loretto Unique Area – NYSDEC. Here are some insects form that visit.

Most of these were found in the Shakespeare Garden in Central Park.

Here are a few birds that I saw in Central Park. I wasn’t trying very hard.

I created backgrounds for these lilies using the original image and some overlays to create digital art. As I have said many times before, when I post a photographic art creation I say so. And I also include that information in the tags.

A trip to the New York Botanical Garden in early September. I recently bought a replacement pair of seersucker pants for Marc, so I was amused to see a seersucker plant. I replaced the sky in the last one to help show of the sculpture.

A small sampling of plants and insects.
