Green-wood B&W

Green-Wood Cemetery on a rainy and cloudy spring day. I used sky replacements on the first three for more interesting gray skies. The tree stump in the last two is very sculptural. I would like it for my grave marker.

Some of the wildlife at Marine Park. The patter of duck feet on the water as they take off makes me smile.

Calvert Vaux Park : NYC Parks (nycgovparks.org) is a park consisting mostly of ball fields by Coney Island Creek in Gravesend, Brooklyn. It has seme nice shorefront areas. This is one of 3 posts. Marc found the preying mantis in the wildflower area. The locust borer is a new one for me.

Floyd Bennett and Jamaica Bay

After a short stop at Jamaica Bay I decided to visit the community gardens at Floyd Bennett Field to look for butterflies.

Green-Wood Doors

Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY has hundreds of doors to the mausoleums. Next to the Callery pear tree is a gate to the afterlife. The last image shows the Manhattan skyline at the horizon.
