Bank Street Tree

I had this dark processing in mind when I photographed this tree in the snow. The third of these three processing methods is an inverted image that makes it look a little like an infrared image.

Method: In Photoshop I cloned out the windows, added a starburst protecting the darks, added a vignette, converted it to B&W, and added a blur and masking out the center. In the third one I inverted the image as well.

Financial District

After the trip, our small group of Sierra Photo NYC members went to dine at the Dubliner on Street. The setting sun shining up Water Street was a lovely surprise.

Ferry to Manhattan

Views of the harbor and the tip of Manhattan. I used a wide angle lens for some of these. The little house sparrow rode with us most of the way, hanging on tight and facing into the wind. When it saw that it was close to land it took off.

Battery Park

On January 20, 2022 Marc and I went with the Sierra Photo of NYC group to photograph Battery Park and views of the harbor via the Staten Island Ferry. I will make 6 posts for that day.

Battery Park at the tip of Manhattan has native plants that look lovely even when not in bloom.
