My favorite cemetery in Brooklyn is Green-Wood, a national historic monument. It is a great place to bird and photograph. We drive through it by car, driving around slowly stopping often. I’ll be making 6 posts of my enhanced and processed photographs. Most of them have sky replacements.
I met Marc, my husband, at The Art Students League in New York City. We both attended drawing classes there in 1966. The state sent him there because that’s what they thought he was suited for after testing his abilities. I wanted to be an artist. I had scraped up enough money to go there during the summer. my girlfriend Donna also came with me. While waiting for class in the hall I nudged her and said he’s cute let’s go talk to him. Marc invited us to come help him clean an apartment. That was my first date.
Our small group of Linnaean NY birders led by Richard Z tried to stay cool by hugging the shade on Sunday, July 3. The highlight was a Ruby-throated Hummingbird sitting on its tiny golf ball sized nest at Great Swamp in Morris County, New Jersey. The rest of these photographs were made at the New Jersey Audubon Sherman Hoffman Sanctuary.
