The Verrazzano–Narrows Bridge – Wikipedia spans New York Harbor between Brooklyn and Staten Island.

I was surprised to hear that the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine (song) – Wikipedia was in Coney Island Creek, in the New York Harbor. Initially we drove out there to see the area and wildlife. I saw the Yellow Submarine on Google map and had to check it out. It is an old wreck that has nothing to do with the Beatles. It does have an interesting story. It was originally named Quester. Please read about the inventor and how it got there: Quester I – Wikipedia

To bring out the seed pods I darkened the background. I used the same process on the tree root with some color enhancements.

Greenbrook is a lovely little private nature sanctuary. It is a pity that the little wooden bench at the base if the tree has collapsed. I would love some places to sit and rest.

The igneous rocks at Greenbrook are part of the Palisades Sill – Wikipedia. The rocks are mostly diabase. Research on the origins of the intrusion(s) is ongoing.
