Village of Nyack Memorial Park
Nyack, in Rockaland County New York, overlooks the Governor Mario Cuomo bridge, that used to be called the Tappan Zee Bridge. The bridge is in the background of the middle picrture.
Back in 2012 when I was still working for AECOM, doing GIS and graphics for the environmental division, we worked on the environmental impact statements for the new bridge. I did GIS mapping, designed the website, covers of the reports, illustrations, and diagrams in the reports for the archaeology and environmental departments. These environmental impact statements covered the Hudson River by the bridge, the towns of Nyack on the west bank, and Tarrytown in Westchester on the east bank.
Harriman State Park
Harriman State Park straddles Rockland and Orange Counties in New York State. We attempted to do most of the 7 lakes drive starting at the north end near Bear Mountain to the south end near Ramapo. Some roads where closed. It was a lovely drive.
Sunset at the Harlem Meer
The end of the afternoon’s Sierra Photo NYC photoshoot took place at the Harlem Meer in Central Park. We were rewarded with a lovely sunset. It was hard for me to choose so I posted a bunch of my sunset photographs.

This was a photgraphy trip so whatever wildlife I saw was incidental. I always look around and up.
Central Park Leaves
I would love to have a dress with a fabric pattern like these leaves on the surface of water in the first photograph. The last photograph is another gloomy one influenced by post-election news. Nature is a great healer and being in the park helped my mood a lot.

The first images is a gloomy. That is because it was made right after the sad news about the election results. I was not in a cheerful mood that day.
