One door from Germany (sent by my son, Amedeo), one from uptown, and one of a closed old restaurant, El Farro’s on my street. For Thursday doors https://nofacilities.com/2023/02/09/more-from-the-archive/.

Photographed during our trip with Linnaean NY. I enhanced the skies on some.

We went on a winter birding trip with The Linnaean Society of New York – The Linnaean Society of New York (linnaeannewyork.org) led by Richard ZainEldeen to several locations on Staten Island, New York. It was a lovely trip and it was so nice seeing many of my birding friends. I wasn’t able to photograph many of the birds. Here are a few of the larger ones that I managed to snap. I replaced the skies on most with one of mine and moved the turkey from the road at Silver Lake’s Park to into a landscape at Wolfe’s Pond.

We had lunch at Bluestone Lane at Chelsea Piers by the Hudson River while it was raining on Sunday January 19, 2023.

Post 8 of 8 in the Brooklyn Bridge Park series. I found many ways to frame the bridges.

Post 7 of 8. I had fun photographing the bridges behind vegetation.

Post 6 of 8. For Thursday Doors. The Seaport is in Manhattan, New York City. Brown and Co Stationers is by the 1626 East River low water mark. There are some old printing presses inside.
Dumbo, is an acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It encompasses two sections: one located between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, which connects Brooklyn to Manhattan across the East River, and another that continues east from the Manhattan Bridge to the Vinegar Hill area.
And DUMBO is in Brooklyn There are some fine old buildings inland above the Old Pier 1 on Middagh Street in Brooklyn. See MIDDAGH STREET, Brooklyn Heights – Forgotten New York (forgotten-ny.com).

Post 4 of 8. A famous place to photograph views of Manhattan and the harbor is the Old Pier 1 in Brooklyn. The gulls fly in to roost on the piers at night.
