NYBG English Garden

The author, Lewis Carroll, used to stroll through English gardens in the 19th century. There are hollyhocks, foxgloves, snapdragons, roses and more. The fascinating tower of Jewels was originally from the Canary Islands. Exhibition Highlights | New York Botanical Garden (nybg.org)

NYBG Arrangements

The plant arrangements in the Alice exhibit are lovely little vignettes of woodland scenes with many carnivorous plants.

NYBG Wet

As part of the exhibit in the conservatory there is a sign about the pool of tears in Alice in Wonderland. If you know the story, she cries a lake of tears while large then fans herself small then Alice, along with other creatures, wind up swimming in the pool.

NYBG Leafy

A few plants for the NY Botanical Gardens.

NYBG Blue

Blue flowers are my favorites.

NYBG White

Yesterday was red, today white, and tomorrow blue. Both the Union Jack and the Stars and Stripes share the same colors.

NYBG Red

Red things at the New York Botanical Gardens.

NYBG Alice

Wonderland: Curious Nature | New York Botanical Garden (nybg.org) from May 18 to October 27, 2024. We went to see some of it on June 6. I love the English garden look in the greenhouse. The topiary is fun too. The rabbit is 12 feet tall! I would enjoy the tea party but not for $160 for two people.
