Lahaina Maui
A short trip to Lahaina. See Town of Lahaina Information, Tips & More | Maui Hawaii (hawaii-guide.com). There is a Lahaina Historic Walking Tour | Lahaina Attractions Map (lahainatown.com). It seemed like everywhere we went we saw rainbows. Seeing a double one was special.
Kipahulu National Park
By noon we arrived at Kīpahulu District – Haleakalā National Park (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov) around noon (still on the Hana Highway). I did not hike the steep 2 miles up to Waimoku Falls because it was only 3 months since my broken hip. We did the lovely half mile Kuoa Point loop trail by the O’heo Gulch instead.
Old Lahaina Luau in Maui
The Old Lahaina Luau (check out this link – lots of information) is the most authentic and traditional one in Maui. I loved that they covered the history of the dance and more. It was educational as well as entertaining. The excellent servers were gorgeous and the food top notch. It just kept coming…
Lahaina Maui
We enjoyed the old buildings and history in Lahaina on our second day in Maui. See Flag of Hawaii – Wikipedia. We met Marc’s cousin Margaret and her mate there for lunch. Most of the shops along Front Street are tacky.
