This lovely church is down the road from where we stayed at Woodfield Manor in the Poconos.
We had another BBQ at Tobyhanna that day too.

Hungry Hill
Just down the road from where we stayed in a cabin at Woodfield Manor is Hungry Hill Memorial Historical Marker (hmdb.org)
Tunkhannock
The Nature Conservancy owns the Long Pond Preserve and Hauser Nature Center | TNC in PA. We visited the Hauser Nature Center twice to look at wildflowers and insects (in a later post).
Mill Pond in Tobyhanna
A charming place that we stopped at for a photo op. I looked it up online and discovered that they hold an Ice Festival there: Tobyhanna, PA – Pocono Ice Harvest (roadsideamerica.com)
Blakeslee NA
We took a little walk in Austin T. Blakeslee Natural Area.
Tobyhanna SP
Tobyhanna State Park has a lovely lake. We did a barbeque by the lake twice. Once with grilled chicken and on the second occasion we cooked hotdogs. We used disposable cooking grills. It rained a little off and on. We liked that because it feel secluded and peaceful.
Hornbeck Creek
A lovely little creek up the road from PEEC in Pike County, Pennsylvania.
PEEC
PEEC (peec.org) is an environmental education center in Pike County Pennsylvania. I attended a warbler workshop there many years ago with a group from NYC. We stayed in their cabins.
