Pelagic Boat Trip
We took a cruise on the American Princess. See: New York City Cruises – Whale Dolphin Seal and Bird Watching Cruises NY. The boat leaves out of Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn. The voyage was longer than usual and lasted for 12 hours (6 am to 6 pm). There will be 6 posts of this trip. I deleted 1000 of 1250 pictures and it took me a while to process the remainder.
SI Landscapes 2
The highlight of the day was seeing the harbor seals in the Red bank Reach, Lower Hudson Bay. I enjoyed seeing the ice pattens around the tree trunks.
Libety and Ellis
The B&H cruise sailed out into the Upper New York Bay out to the Stature of Liberty.
The 82-foot schooner, Shearwater, was hand built in 1929 from native hardwoods. It is a New York City floating designated landmark.

April Birds in New York City
An assortment of birds that are both here all year and just arrived this Spring. Central Park is looking good now, birders are out and so are the flowers. I took the last two photos near 30th Street along the Hudson River.

Frozen Hudson
Just a narrow channel clear for shipping left in the Hudson River, Lower Manhattan. This much ice is a novelty for me.
