Cades Cove Doors

I did 5 posts about Cades Cove starting on May 21 (see right side menu bar for links to the posts). Historicbuildings/cades-cove.html

This is the last one from Tennessee with old doors for Thursday Doors https://nofacilities.com/2024/05/30/on-board-the-delta-pearl/.

Hard work and ingenuity = survival. I can’t even imagine how hard they worked to build all this, let alone live their lives there. But again I can’t help noticing the peace. I wonder if they ever had time to notice. Eloquent images.

A few minutes on the porch at the end of a day perhaps. 🙂

A stunning collection of beautiful wooden buildings, and some outstanding doors there too. The two doors with chains and bolts really stand out.

Sherry, those craggy stone steps leading up to the cabin are a marvelous reminder of how we must sometimes use what we have at hand.

True. And I llike the stair’s rustic charm.

These are such interesting buildings. It’s fun to try and imagine the purpose they were designed for. Thanks for sharing the photos from this trip.
