I like how the color of the cabin in the very first photo is reflected in the colors of the steely grey sky. And the lush, verdant trees and foliage provide a great contrast and background in all of the photos.
I swear I can hear the birds singing. What a setting! Not that I have any desire to live in a log cabin, but that’s a world that looks deeply peaceful. Thanks!
It was except the restaurant was below my standards for what we paid. Cold food and some of it raw or overdone. Who eats quinoa omelets? Not me. There were no other choices for eggs.
I always associate an old cabin in the woods with horror movies I watched in the 80s & 90s.
That old truck, though, reminds me of an old car we played in when we were children. It was such fun. Always a row over whose turn it was to drive. 😅 Nice memories!

Thank you. It took very little editing. Nature did a wonderful job.

What a lovely comment. Thank you so much.
An intriguing set. Why were the truck’s logs not unloaded?, for example
I guess the logs on the truck are supposed to make it look frozen in time. 🙂
Love these shots sherry!
Oh, thank you. So glad you enjoyed these.
The photo of that truck is wonderful
The antique patina plus moss on the truck is the best. 🙂
Lovely photos, Sherry. They look like great places to escape to.
The cabin we stayed at in Skyland Lodging – Visit Shenandoah National Park (goshenandoah.com) was almost as rustic. I could see through the floor and walls.
That looks like a wonderful place to stay.

Quinoa omelets? Whoa, that’s a non-starter for sure.

What a fun memory about the truck. Thanks for sharing.
