Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY has hundreds of doors to the mausoleums. Next to the Callery pear tree is a gate to the afterlife. The last image shows the Manhattan skyline at the horizon.

Here’s one for you. My parents were in a bridge club with three other couples. One late night (back in the 1950s) they decided they wanted to be buried together, so they could keep playing bridge forever. Sure enough, they went off and bought plots next to each other. When my mother died, she was the last of the group. As she said in her last days, “Well, at least now we’ll have two full tables again.”
I love it. Great plan. We plan to be buried at the end of Long Island and eventually get washed out to sea,
I like these old cemeteries, this one is very special thanks to the many flowering trees.
I agree. Most cemeteries don’t have trees. I think people don’t like roots penetrating their loved ones’ coffins.
