I photographed these at the Holiday Train Show® | New York Botanical Garden. The last three photographs are of places where I briefly acted as a tour guide. At that time, I was an Urban Park Ranger (1989 to 1991). When we opened the Little Red Lighthouse – Wikipedia to visitors, I met an old fellow. He used to swim there before the George Washington Bridge was built in 1931.
My claim to fame is having studied Botanical Illustration with an instructor who earned her certification at the NYBG. It was a very demanding discipline, and, though I’ve never been there, I have an abiding awe of it just from that coursework.
Oh my goodness, I love these doors! The buildings are wonderful. I love the details and the authentic nature of the various buildings. The photos are all very good.
I am in awe! What a (literally) fabulous world — the stuff of fables. Thank you for this!
The NY Botanical Garden does a train show every year.

I love these miniatures, and the photos are incredible, Sherry!
Thanks 😊

Thank you, dear Dan. It is a show worth seeing.
I will need to keep that in mind.
