Just seeing this most interesting collection of doors and their surroundings now. I also am taken by 5 9th Ave. Seems a little raggedy now – am wondering what they were aiming for in promoting the growth of the gigantic vine!

That vine has been on 5 9 Ave. thorough several ownerships and for about 50 years. It was almost cut down. It should be given historic protection. It has been neglected.

Today your doors are overshadowed a bit by the attractive growth around them. But I love the whole thing in the last shot. 🙂

Thanks. I would love to have a rooftop pergola like that one.

The only thing they have on common is Greenwich Village. 😊

I enjoyed all of your doors, but wondering what is inside the door at Bird Dog. I am very curious.

I used Google maps to get you the answer. It’s a restaurant that serves Southern food. Hush puppies, etc. I should try it.

I love the eclectic doors and buildings in this area of the city. That ivy at 5 9th Ave is amazing!

Thanks Dan. It is wisteria. It used to be much larger. They cut most of it down.
