Kipahulu National Park

By noon we arrived at Kīpahulu District – Haleakalā National Park (U.S. National Park Service) ( around noon (still on the Hana Highway). I did not hike the steep 2 miles up to Waimoku Falls because it was only 3 months since my broken hip. We did the lovely half mile Kuoa Point loop trail by the O’heo Gulch instead.

      Thanks. I am still having trouble with leg muscles and nerves. I am happy that I can get around some.

      Oops! the word ‘not’ was missing. I did the flat half mile walk. I could NOT do the 2 mile steep climb over slippery rocks. That hike is for those who want to see the big waterfall. I found lots of nature to look at down below.
