My mother Noel

In honor of my mother Noel Estelle James (married name Davies) — December 20, 1919 Perth, Australia – October 10, 2018 Sydney, Australia.

Noel loved people and loved to laugh. She led a colorful life, the details of which would make a terrific script for a movie. I plan to write down what I can remember. I was unable to attend my mother funeral which was in Sydney, Australia on October 18th. My relative, Warren, said that it was a lovely service and people laughed at parts and my brother in-in-law Grant read several eulogies, including my son’s and husband’s, and showed a slide show of photographs. I heard they were unable to play my eulogy (slide show). So, I’ll share it with you all instead. Coincidentally, it’s my birthday today—I’ll have it tomorrow instead.

Grace Court Alley

I went to Brooklyn to visit Grace Court and Grace Court Alley. Most of these are good for

There a few gas lights too. Reminded me of London in the 50s when a lamplighter used come light the lamp outside my window every night.

LGBT Sculpture at Hudson

Hudson River Park – LGBT memorial designed by artist Anthony Goicolea at 12th Street and Bethune Street is a monument to the LGBT community erected to recognize those lost in the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting in June 2016, and all victims of hate, intolerance and violence. Constructed of nine modified “boulders” fabricated in bronze, some of which are bisected with a clear, laminated glass imbedded with prisms to refract rainbow patterns on the surrounding area.

I don’t usually post other people’s art work but these look so nice in the park I wanted to share them.

Kimmel Pavilion

Back on the 9th of September I had a small procedure done, a redo of a Nissen fundoplication, and I stayed overnight in the brand-new Kimmel Pavilion at NYU Langone. It was a fancy room, better than any hotel I ever stayed at. It had a huge TV with a bedside tablet and remote that allowed me to manage everything: Lights, temperature, bed angle, window shades, internet, phone, TV and more. Pity I wasn’t allowed to stay longer. Most of these photos were shot by my husband Marc on his cell.

Tucker Plants

Richard Tucker Park at Columbus Avenue and West 66th Street is a tiny triangle just west of Lincoln Center in New York City. I love the plantings there in summer.
