Tobyhanna SP

Tobyhanna State Park has a lovely lake. We did a barbeque by the lake twice. Once with grilled chicken and on the second occasion we cooked hotdogs. We used disposable cooking grills. It rained a little off and on. We liked that because it feel secluded and peaceful.

Hornbeck Creek

A lovely little creek up the road from PEEC in Pike County, Pennsylvania.

Dingman Falls

The roar of Dingman Falls in Pike County Pennsylvania was spectacular. The photograph doesn’t show the scale well. The falls are quite large.

Buttermilk Falls PA

On the second day in the Poconos we visited several waterfalls. It was a good time to do so because of all the recent rain. Buttermilk was the first one on that day. Gregory pond was nearby.

Poconos in October 1

In mid October we spent a week in the Poconos at Woodfield Manor near Cresco, Pennsylvania. The first couple of days it rained. I didn’t mind because it added atmosphere. We ate dinner at a restaurant called Waters Edge.

Palisades Picnic

Last week we went for a picnic in the Undercliff area of the Palisades by the Hudson River. We stopped briefly at the State Line Lookout. We were driven nuts by the Lanternfly infestation so didn’t stay long. A group of birders were doing a hawk watch there.

We drove on Henry Hudson Drive down the the Undercliff Picnic Area and had a lovely bug free barbeque all by ourselves except for two other peole. After the picnic we drove to the Englewood Picnic Area by the George Washington Bridge.
