Bothy

I booked a few days at Caberfeidh – MacKenzie’s Bothy Holiday Let, Bedford, Isle of Skye, Scotland. It was a once-in-a-lifetime treat. There was a pair of grass armchairs outside. We could birdwatch while sitting inside. I made many photographs of the changing skies.

I like the concept of you making photographs. Was it Ansel Adams who stated that?

You’re correct. It was Ansel who coined the phrase making photographs. I can use that phrase because I do a lot of work in post. Unedited photos are snapshots.

The pictures are awesome, the majesty of nature. What birds did you see through the window? Great way to bird

I saw the usual UK shorebirds: Plovers, sandpipers, oystercatchers. The best one was a white-tailed eagle on the mainland by Eilean Doan Castle.
