I didn’t plan it. However, Marc, Paula, and I ended up at what is tactfully described as a clothing optional beach. It is called Beach G (Gunnison Beach) (U.S. National Park Service) at Sandy Hook, New Jersey. It was nice there. No noisy children. After lounging around on the beach for a while we had a walk in the woods at Fisherman’s Beach. Late in the afternoon we stopped for dinner at Bahrs Landing in Highlands, NJ.

I particularly like inviting woodland path
I love it when the woodland path is like a glowing tunnel. ThanksDerrick.
This was a great series of photos, Sherry, and a beautiful beach. I had never heard of a great black-backed gull; looked it up to learn it is the largest gull in the world. I REALLY liked that photo of it scavenging the sand shark. wow.
Black-backs are extremely aggressive. They killl anythign that they can, including other birds.
I love seeing the birds. I like watching gulls, and the osprey is a great capture.
Thanks Dan 🙂
Brings back memories. I remember the Whimbrels and other shorebirds, plus warblers and more. Beautiful place.
It is one of my favorite places. No warblers that day.
