Cape May Meadows

At the tip of Cape May is a nature sanctuary called South Cape May Meadows | The Nature Conservancy in New Jersey. Next we dropped by the North Woods Center Cape May Bird Observatory | New Jersey Audubon (njaudubon.org) run by New Jersey Audubon. And after visiting there we ate lunch at the Cape May Bird Observation Deck near the light house.

Lovely photos. The meadows are home to a very diverse community.

I agree. Wetland meadows are extraordinarily rich in wildlife. Thanks Dan. The top one shows me in the distance.

Thanks Sherry for the lovely stroll through that part of Cape May – starting with the overview first of a human and then of the Purple Martins, and on to the Painted Turtle (the paint is some kind of moss like growth ?) – to the most refined looking, delicate insect and then the splash of color from the meadows!

I have good memories of that day. The pictures don’t tell the tale, but the links do.
