Forsythe

On our way to Cape May for a week’s stay we stopped at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge – Wikipedia in New Jersey. I love birding by car.

Must have been wonderful. Such a variety of waders and shore birds. I haven’t seen quite a few of them. I liked the red-winged blackbird, which was also new to me.

It’ll be good if you post this on the bird of the week

It’s one of my favorite places. Thanks, I will.

It’s always a delight to see what someone with skills and a good lens can do with birds. Aren’t the Skimmers fun to watch? They’re pretty darned skilled, too.

I adore skimmers. I didn’t bring my 600 mm, only 400 mm which is OK for identification purposes.

Another good range. I particularly like the redwings blackbird shot
