Black & White Birds – CB and W

There are only a few of my bird photographs that translate well into black and white with some work in Photoshop. This group will be included in the Linnaean Society of New York‘s 2018-2019 Program which I am putting together now for September. I create their website and printed program in B&W — layout not content.

These are lovely, and the ovenbird photograph is particularly delightful – full of character!

Egret’s are such beautiful birds to photograph.. they have such elegance and grace and seem to want to pose for the camera. Love the original photograph.. Yes Photoshop has some cool tricks and tools.. lately I am finding myself drawn to Luminar especially for landscape photography.

My preference for an additional editing and presets is on1 which does the same stuff and much more. On1 is more sophisticated but easy to use. I prefer to save in Photoshop format and Luminar does not do that. Check out on1 free trial if you like or read the comparison reviews.
