    The one Egret we have yet to see here in the Algarve – Cattle and Little we see all the time, but so far the Great has eluded us. Or at least we haven’t noticed it!

      Great Egret’s range map show it lives in the Americas. .

        ah that intrigued me . . . so I have been researching and it seems there are two Great Egrets!

        Here in Portugal the Great White Egret is the Egretta alba, whereas yours also the Great Egret is the Ardea alba.
