We went to Whole Foods for the senior shopping hour this morning. The pink dawn was lovely. It inspired me to buy a silly pink plant.

To add to the vacation at Grand Manan and to break up the long drive back to New York City I booked a night at the Maple Hill Farm Inn in Hallowell, Maine. Hallowell is a charming little old town on the banks of the Kennebec River. The Inn was gorgeous and the hospitality tops. I wish I could have stayed longer. At dawn we walked to Jimmie Pond nearby and I was able to photograph the early morning mist on the lake. A tearful rainy goodbye is the last shot.
