We traveled from New York to Chincoteague for a 9 day vacation. During our journey, we stopped at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge for lunch. Then we drove through the preserve. In June diamond back terrapins lay eggs on the dikes. Baby eagles leave the nest.
Water lilies bloom. And black necked stilts start nesting. We also saw a flock of avocets and a fox with it’s kill.

Love the terrapin.
LOL everyone seems to like that one. Thanks
very beautifull 👍
Thank you very much.
Beautiful photos, Sherry. The one of the terrapin is amazing!
Thanks Dan. We helped her on her way by moving her off the road.
That was kind of you.
All good. Especially the terrapin twisting to look at you and the warbler warbling
Thanks Derrick 🙂
Love the little warbler, and the terrapin
Thanks Sue
