Javits Green Roof

We went to see the green roof at the Sustainability – Javits Center (see the short videos for details) in late September with a group from the NYC Bird Alliance. I’ve know about this for a long time and always wanted to see it. My next post shows some of the plants there.

It sure is. Hope you found time to look at the little videos they have about it. 🙂

More roof tops need to be green. There are a lot of places in NYC that I would love to show you. Like the parks along the Hudson.

Nice to see the gardens in the sky! In the first photo I note the small sliver of sky that the city’s buildings allow! Do you know who is responsible for the existence of the gardens and who benefits from them?
