A rainy day is my favorite time to visit this type of tourist attraction. Boardwalk and Amusement Park, Wildwood, New Jersey.
A coincidence that places like this remind you of ones here in England – photo 5 looks very much like an amusement park I’ve been to in Southport here in the North West and just an hour’s drive from home 🙂
One significant difference is the weather here is usually sunny and warm in late May 🙂

Those dark skies make a wonderful backdrop for these photos, Sherry! At first glance, they look like scenes from long long ago.
I got that feeling too – old timey. Seaside places like this remind me of ones I used to visit in England. 🙂
Places like this have at best floods once or twice a year! I’ll have some of the saltwater taffy, please — and I’d have to stop at Lola’s. The name reminds me of the Jimmy Buffett song about Frankie and Lola, and their own attempt to regain youth at a place like this.
