Thanks 🙂 I recently took a class on matching or blending colors in composites so that the layers don’t look fake in Photoshop at F64 Elite by Blake Rudis.
I like these, I think the first one looks more like an oil painting 🙂

The first one strikes me as gorgeous, as does the combination of the 2 photos .I have to smile at Shoreacres comment as it is reminiscent of the dialogue between Sherry and myself (about “Nature takes Over” – near the Hudson River – in which I was favoring the original “natural” photo. Regarding that one, I now favor the artistic version!

The second photo’s more pleasing to me; I suppose it’s because it looks more natural. I remember reading about Bouquete in some context, but can’t remember where. It certainly looks like a beautiful spot.
I prefer the drama and composition of the first one. The original was half backlit by a bright sun. The skies I used are real ones with similar lighting. My artistic interpretations are not supposed to be “natural”.
Bouquete is a lovely place in the cool mountains. I wanted to move there but wasn’t able to pull it off.
