For Thanksgiving we took our friend Barbara with us to eat at Tatiana, a Russian restaurant, on the boardwalk at Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, New York for lunch. We all had red borscht, I had duck, and Barbara and I shared a huge Pavlova for desert. That was so good! After that we went to Jamaica Bay, part of Gateway NRA in Broad Channel for the sunset.
…not a particular painting. More the colours and lighting. Daytona Diner and A Date With Fate are two paintings which we have in our kitchen. It’s more the style. We have a big one in our living room. The Singing Butler . But I really don’t like all of his work. Happy days. Reinhold
Beautiful photos. Glad you had such a lovely Thanksgiving Day maybe the birders can celebrate being back together with a Pavlova. I will take also the duck!!’ Xxoo Linda
Now that I have had a chance to view your photos, Thanks Again!!! The colors of the sunset in some of the photos seem unreal! Did you play with them? As Sinatra sings, “thanks for the memories”!!!

In this case the camera over saturated the sunset. Cameras are not capable of reproducing what the human eye can see, and no camera is capable of capturing an extreme dynamic range. I pulled back the saturation a bit. I also increased the light in the shadows. ALL pictures that I take are edited. I edit them according to what remember seeing or what I want the feeling to be. My photos are not reality. I create art. I do not try to document reality like a news reporter has to.
We had a lovely day. glad you enjoyed it.
A Jack Vettriano image. Reminds me of one of his images. Beautiful shot, Sherry.

I think I prefer your floating ducks to the tabled duck, but it’s that Pavola that caught and held my attention!

LOL. I felt guilty going to see ducks. Hope they didn’t smell my duck on my breath. That was the best Pavlova I’ve eaten.
