The greenhouse had a chrysanthemum exhibit. Even though the Conservatory was partially closed there was plenty of flowers to photograph in the garden.

This is a beautiful place! I was only there once and it was a very chilly winter day. The blooms you captured are stunning. What kind of macro lens do you use?!

Thank you very much. I took most of these with a Nikon D750 with a Tamron 28-300 mm lens. I can fake the look of a Macro with a short F stop. Some I took with my cell phone, a Samsung 10+ shooting Pro which makes DNG files. I do have a Macro lens but it is so heavy I didn’t want to carry it! If I am shooting birds I use a Sigma 150-600 mm. 🙂

Remarkable! They are wonderful close-ups. I also have a Sigma 150 to 600, but I found it very difficult to get clear hand-held shots. Do you use a tripod or a Mono pod?

I get good hand held shots with that long lens. I think the image stabilization works well. I try to use as fast a shutter speed as possible. That means I see noise from the higher ISOs but LR cleans it up pretty well.
