Central Park September Flowers 1

I pay attention to backgrounds an composition when I photograph flowers. These needed very little work in post processing. The challenge comes in identifying them. I use a combination of iNaturalist and Bing’s search engine. I knew half of these already. I gave up on the last one.

Beautiful flowers, and I really like the background. Some of the photos look like paintings.

I so enjoyed your flowers (and IDing) here, Sherry. There’s a spirit of romance about these flowers, these photos, it’s lovely.

Superb images – love the great blue lobelia. The scented hosta sounds interesting – I have grown many hostas’ but none have been scented.

Thank you. I couldn’t get close to see if the scented Hosta smells or not.

Thanks Sue. I used a long lens. Probable 200 mm at f8.
