I highly recommend Birding by Boat on the Osprey in Cape May: Ospreycruise.com. It is great for Birders to get closeup views and non-birders can enjoy seeing nature. The guide, Bob Lubberman, is knowledgeable and entertaining. My apologies for the inferior quality of the Clapper Rail photograph. It was only there for a second and I was the one who spotted it. The last one had me fooled. It looks like a cross between an ibis and a heron.

Wonderful shots. It’s amazing how you have completely different species there. I could recognize each one of them to the family but then got stymied. That may be why the joke did not translate, so to say. That’s not like any family I know, and I had to look closer at how it was standing 🙂
It amused me how the heron appears to be staring crossly at a knot. Reminds me of a joke about a piece of string who claimed to be a frayed knot (Affraid not).
