Egrets Nesting

The first stop on our trip to the Pine Barrens was the nesting area at the Ocean City Welcome Center on the Stainton Memorial Causeway, New Jersey. It was a treat to get peaks at the Egret’s blue eggs. 2 of 8 posts.

I agreed. It is the first time I was that close to a nesting colony of Egrets.

I’ve seen a lot of broken egg shells on the ground beneath the spot where our local egrets are nesting, but there’s no chance here to see into the nests. It’s great that you had a spot where you could look down into them; the photos are marvelous.
