Do you know whether any of these flowers were growing there naturally, as opposed to having been cultivated? Two grow natively in central Texas. One is the crabapple. The other is the columbine, whose range here is disjoint by some 450 miles from the nearest part of the species’ main range to the northeast..
There are some that are native and self-seed. I think all of these were planted.

The leaves on the Jetbead are as attractive as the blooms; they seem ‘made for one another’ in a way that isn’t always true.
I agree. The leaves and flower look right to wear in a buttonhole.
