You may have heard about the death of the last member of the Hawaiian royal family, a page of history has been turned.
I didn’t know that I looked it up. “Kawānanakoa, ‘last Hawaiian princess,’ dies at 96 – October 25, 2019.” Even though she didn’t mary a man she could have found a way to carry on the line. Sad.
Perhaps it is better that way, the monarchy belongs to history without colliding with the present. She died last Sunday.
