Sandy Hook 1 Birds

On Saturday we attended the Littoral Society‘s annual picnic at Sandy Hook, part of Gateway NRA. We went on the bird walk led by Don Riepe. I lost count of the Ospreys. Every chimney had a nest.

    I’ve never seen a photo of a Cedar Waxwing in flight: at least, not one that shows their grace so well.

      I was lucky to be there. This one was hawking for insects. You can see one in one of the photos.

    It looks like an ideal place for bird spotting Sherry. Nice shots and I love the Osprey fly-by 🙂

      I could do Ospreys all day there because there must be over 100.
