Hi Sherry It was great to see your photos of the Comeau property. I have known and enjoyed that property for years. I was part of the committee that bought the property from Comeau in the 1970’s and made it accessible for public use. The famous Woodstock sledding hill was originally part of that property. Also so nice to see you and Marc doing such lively exploration of the Natural world. Thanks for these photos . Xo Linda

Beautiful autumn colors and great photos of this beautiful nature reserve. You must have enjoyed this walk a lot. The weather at that time was definitely much better than here in Belgium 😉

Thanks. Yes, the weather was gorgeous. Not may days like that left. Winter hits with a bang in New York.

I confess that when I hear “Catskills,” I think first of the musicians and stand-up comics that were part of my 50’s childhood. Louis Prima and Keely Smith were favorites. I was snooping around and found that Louis Prima, Jr., played Woodstock in January. I think I’d enjoy the place now rather than in January — these colors are amazing, and the weather’s obviously more pleasant, too.

Yes. Winter up there can be cold. Some like to ski. I would like to move up ther if I can find an affordable place.

Lovely photos, Sherry. You are very lucky to have such beautiful Autumn colour within driving distance. It’s a timely reminder that nature never stands still and despite world issues, the seasons still go on.

Thank you. It makes me feel a lot better to be able to get out to see nature in its glory. I do feel fortunate to be able to drive out to see it.
