Belfry and Fire Doors

FDNY 14 c. 1894 is one of many lovely old firehouses in New York City.

The Belfry has a nice lamp.

That first old firehouse is my favourite. What a beautiful building.

Great post, Sherry! Wished we had some firehouses like the one you are showing, closeby! What a treasure. Makes one feel at home right away! My son in law started as a fire fighter, so I got a taste of that community:)

Thanks for sharing this, Sherry. I love the little fire stations that are tucked in all over NYC.

Me too. It appeals to my love of history and the child in me.

That firehouse has such a “New York feel.” It’s really appealing, and a fine photo of it as well.
