We stayed overnight at the Collective Governors Island | Luxury Camping Resort New York in 2019. It is lovely to lie in the tent with the tent flap open overlooking the harbor. In the early morning the mist softens the landscape.

I like that prose as much as the photographs
Thanks Derrick. Glad you like this post.
This is a great post. Your first photo captured such a lovely scene. I would imagine that even though you were so close to the city, it was quiet and still that morning. The picture of the island in the mist looks like it could be from an exotic south sea island.
It felt secluded and peaceful. No one got up as early as we did and it felt like we had the island to ourselves. I’d love to do some more glamping.
Your view of the Governor Island’s tent at sunset with the Statue of Liberty in the background is the most evocative view of the statue I’ve ever seen. It’s interesting how the background in this photo for me at least is more important than the tent in the foreground.
I agree. Thanks Barbara.
