Bombay Hook Mix

The blue grosbeak at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge was a treat. So where the black-necked stilts. Someone must have put that black swan there. It is native to Australia.

Another good set. Perhaps the black swan hitched a ride

Thank you Derrick. From what I have read about the black swan at Bombay Hook, it is an escaped exotic pet.

Do you think the Black Necked Stilt is doing her balance exercises, or maybe is scratching an itch under her feathers?

The bird is grooming, which does take ballence. 🙂

Hi Anne. Nice to see you here. I miss going on trips with you. I haven’t signed up for trips with Linnaean because I fear I can not keep up. We went to Ward Pound Ridge yesterday.
