Falcons at State Line Lookout

We stopped briefly at https://njpalisades.org/stateline.html in Alpine, New Jersey and saw a few hawks. Red-tailed Hawk, Coopers, Sharp-shinned Hawk and the resident Peregrine Falcons.

Then we went to have dinner at Kiku at 385 Route 9W, Alpine, NJ  07620 https://www.kikurestaurantsnj.com/. It is very quiet in the regular dining room. I love eating there. The hibachi section is more popular and a little noisier.

I love that photo of the falcon in flight. The fall colors are amazing, too.

Thanks Dan. The Focons there are habituated to people. I used a regular short lens.

I really had to search for the falcon in the second one

These photos are beautiful, Sherry. I’m a sucker for all things Hudson, and the combination of those breathtaking views of the river and the particularly glorious moment of that autumn moment got to me on this very dark morning before we change the clocks.
