    As soon as I saw the word Hempstead I thought of the place in the center of Nassau County, two municipalities east of where I grew up. This mansion is much too opulent ever to have existed in that place. But Nassau County is divided into three townships, with Sands Point being in the Town of North Hempstead.

      Not being a native of the area, I missed the fact that Sands Point is in North Hempstead. It is a very opulent area. 👋
