What a beautiful spot, and so well photographed. I was curious about the name, and went to the arboretum’s site. Reading about the family, I discovered that some of the relatives of Olivia Peyton Murray Cutting owned tracts of land in NYC that included Murray Hill. I used to visit the old Morgan mansion on 35th and Madison when it was Lutheran Church offices, smack in the middle of the Murray Hill area. Talk about degrees of separation. Now, of course, that building’s part of the Morgan Library.
What a gorgeous place!!
It is very pretty there. Thanks.

That is fascinating. Thanks for sharing your history. At first, I thought cutting was an item not a name. I went on a tour there once.
This is such an amazing and beautiful area.Anita
It is indeed. That is why I return to it now and then.
