up in the hills above Kahului in the North Shore of Maui is the Iao Valley is Kepaniwai Heritage Gardens (mauihawaii.org). It is a Iao Valley State Park – The Park In The Center Of West Maui (mauihawaii.org) The famous Iao Needle is in this park.

So incredibly lush!! Every photo is beautiful. I was only in Hawaii once, many years ago, and am thoroughly enjoying your visit vicariously.
This will likely be my only visit there too. We have had no heat for two days so wish I was back in Maui now.
