The hotel is indeed splendid, probably too splendid for us to ever stay there. 🙂 The front door of the Embassy is quite garish but I love the gate/s!

The Splendid Hotel is amazing. The entrance and the towering beauty of the facade. I’m so glad it survived the war. I do like the doors of the Russian Embassy. Thanks for sharing an opulent collection.
